Love how this line is small diameter. The stretch i. The line gives the flies a slingshot like launch for a long cast. Caught a 16 “ brown in TN on 7x no problem, landed without breaking tippet. Just caught a 19” jumping rainbow this week in Colorado on 6x, between the flex in the 10’6” 3wt rod and the elasti-core line , i was able to land this big trout without breaking my tippet. Just ordered a 2nd line for my other rod.

Fished this line 4 times since I purchased it (my first mono core competition line) and must say I really like this line. I like the ease of leader connection with the mono core and the extra cushion this line provides when hooking/fighting bigger fish was noticeable also. It felt just as sensitive as the braid cores I’ve been fishing with also. Definitely will be keeping at least one setup spooled with this line for nymphing.

I’ve been fishing this line for a little over a week, and absolutely love it, the extra stretch helps with tippet protection and fighting bigger fish, unlike other mono core lines. It doesn’t stay coiled up and stays stretched out, definitely my favorite nymphing line so far!
